This is a mixed population of M. strigosum (B) and M. sericeum (A). The latter is much more abundant, >500 plants. The former occurs among grassesa lmost exclusively. M. sericeum also occurs in the very disturbed areas. About 15 plants of A and 15 of B. The M. strigosum type seems to have shorter rays, smaller heads, strigose indumentum, more condensed leaves on stem, and shorter peduncles (sometimes sessile). Fotos #2264-2268.
