Habitat
Laderas interiores de un cráter volcánico antiguo.
Habitus
Plant about 2.5m tall. Leaves up to 2.20 m long, leafleb 23 by 4 to 56 by 8 cm. Inflorescence 53 cm long, the branches orange-red, the bracts orange. Fruits olive to blach. Cannon understay plant in moister parts of princay forest, readhing 4.5 m in height.
