Tour de France - Stage 15

After Armstrong and Mayo fell and Ullrich waited for them to catch up Armstrong attacked the group by accelerating ahead to gain on all the other riders.  Here are the top 10 after Lance's surge:
1 001 ARMSTRONG Lance USA USP in 65h 36' 23"
2 131 ULLRICH Jan GER TBI at 01' 07"
3 028 VINOKOUROV Alexandre KAZ TEL at 02' 45"
4 179 ZUBELDIA Haimar ESP EUS at 05' 16"
5 171 MAYO Iban ESP EUS at 05' 25"
6 081 BASSO Ivan ITA FAS at 08' 08"
7 071 HAMILTON Tyler USA CSC at 09' 02"
8 121 MOREAU Christophe FRA C.A at 11' 12"
9 031 MANCEBO Francisco ESP BAN at 16' 05"
10 078 SASTRE Carlos ESP CSC at 16' 12"

He should be much more comfortable now he has increased the 15 and 18 second leads he had coming into this stage.  The race will probably be decided this next Saturday during the Team time trial.

Lance Armstrong may be on the way to winning his fifth consecutive Tour de France!

16 H 58 Armstrong: The All American Hero!
Lance Armstrong has won the 15th stage of the centenary Tour de France. It's his first solo victory of the 2003 edition and his 16th stage victory. There was no salute from the exhausted American.

16 H 32 - Armstrong Back In Lead Group
Armstrong has rejoined the Ullrich group. As soon as he did Mayo did a small surge, but this group is now all together again.

16 H 32 - Ullrich Looking For Lance
Ullrich is now letting the yellow jersey rejoin his group.

16 H 31 - Ullrich Waiting...
Ullrich has NOT attacked since Armstrong's fall. Lance has now just pulled his foot from the pedal and lost some momentum...

16 H 30 - Armstrong Crashes!
Armstrong has crashed. He has also taken down Mayo.

No hesitation picking up the bike and returning to the race. Lance no doubt has guardian angels watching over his shoulder.
